Venice Film Fest 2011: The Fashion

The 2011 Venice Film Festival: 10 Days of Glam and one of the year's most anticipated fashion events is--The Venice Film Festival. A merging of talent and tastes, where the art of film meet the art of fashion, including film producers, actors, and designers.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Madonna, Evan Rachel Wood and Diane Kruger--a virtual who's who of film stars and the designers that dress them. The 68th annual Venice International Film Festival is drawing some very fashion-forward stars.

Kate Winslet stole the show with a Marilyn Monroe inspired look. She has a curvier silhouette, so she had to adapt her style to her body. And she did it amazingly perfect. She appeared in a black and white dress signed by designer Stella McCartney. She added peep-toe heels and wowed with her looks.

eBay-- You Win Some You Lose Some!!!

I won this---I am sooo excited and I can't wait till it gets here. I won it on eBay. The seller, 9-jewelry , is a brand new eBay seller. They may be seasoned and been doing it for a while, but the seller's id is new with no seller rating or feedback. But they have a great selection or beautiful turquoise jewelry and offer free shipping. I recognize that they've got a new account and are probably going to do whatever necessary to develop a strong following of customers. I am just blown away by the selections and styles of modern and tribal turquoise jewelry. Combined with the fact that the bids start very low and there's free shipping, makes it a pretty interesting challenge. There's really no reason not to shop there? Well some people have an apprehension for shopping overseas, particularly China, and it's not without merit, however, I still enjoy a good bargain so I'm willing to shop overseas and most of my experience has been good.

I've been shopping for a special turquoise necklace, and look at what I found. I absolutely adore this piece. It should be here in about a week or two and I'll post my unpacking and framing.

Free people Tie & dye Printed Cotton Dress

I've been on a Turquoise binge for the last couple of days. And I can't seem to get enough. Turquoise is such a pretty color. It's cool like the ocean colors and calming and relaxing. This cute little dress is by Free People. V-neck Dress by Free People. Adjustable strap. Elastic at back & empire level. Gather at front & back empire. Tie & Dye all over the dress and pockets each side towards the hem.

I tried really hard to win this dress, and I didn't win. I pride myself on my eBay wins, but this is going to be a case of you lose some. LOL!!!. So I'll continue to share with you some recent Turquoise finds. In fact I picked up a great scarf today at the 6Degree Clothing Store in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
